Mary Robinette Kowal is a professional puppeteer who moonlights as a writer. Originally from North Carolina, Mary lives in New York City with her husband Rob. She is the Art Director of "Shimmer." Mrs. Kowal had recorded audio fiction for authors such as Orson Scott Card and Tobias Buckell. Her short fiction appears in Cosmos, Strange Horizons, and Cicada.
